For Christmas, my wonderful husband bought me a Silhouette Cameo. I hadn’t heard of it until Thanksgiving but we looked at it and thought it looked awesome. If you haven’t heard of it, Silhouette is a company who has digital cutting tools. You connect them to you computer and it cut’s what you tell it to. I haven’t gotten to play with it as much as I have wanted to but it can cut paper, fabric, vinyl, heat transfer material and it can sketch and has the ability to do some rhinestone work too. It’s pretty awesome!

Anyways, the first project I made was this Winter Bunting. After I took down the Christmas decorations, my wall looked bare but I didn’t want to put up Valentine’s stuff yet, so I went the winter route.

I used glitter cardstock for my snowflakes and plain cardstock for my mitten’s. I made one pair for each of the 3 of us and I love how they turned out! I used the following shapes by Silhouette: snowflakeclassic snowflakes, and hanging mittens.

After I cut the pieces I attached them to black and white bakers twine using glue dots for the snowflakes and small wood clothespins for the mittens. So simple and so fun!

If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can make your own snowflakes like this and use real mittens that you can find at Target or Walmart and you can get the same look.

I added an extra snowflake to our J on our picture wall and called it done! Do you feel like the house is empty after Christmas?
